David P. Cook has lived and worked in Springfield and the surrounding area for most of his life. He attended SMSU and is an alum of Baptist Bible College, where he majored in Business Management. He is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University with a Certificate in Nonprofit Industry.
David’s banking career began over 45 years ago as the Business Development Officer at United Missouri Bank and later as the President of First Community Bank in Branson, Missouri. His banking experience led him to become the Community Bank President for Bank of Missouri and opened its first location in Branson. David was then transferred to the Springfield market, where he served as the Community Bank President and was promoted to Vice Chairman of Southwest Missouri. He held this role for two years before retiring in December 2023.
David joined Missouri Trust and Investment Company in May 2024 as the Director of Development. His mission is to cultivate strong community and client relationships while finding meaningful solutions to meet their needs.

Interests and Activities
David is actively involved in the community, serving on the boards of the Springfield Symphony and the Community Partnership of the Ozarks. He also spent 20 years on the United Way of the Ozarks Board, where he established the Branson Missouri United Way and its Community Day of Caring.
David loves spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also enjoys playing golf and fishing.
David says, “He would not be where and what I am today, if it were not for my wife and having direction, support, and wisdom from GOD.”
