Shaping the future of the Springfield region – a place we’re all proud to call home
In the last 3 years, the economic development efforts of the Springfield Business Development Corporation have helped to create 1,748 new jobs and $175 million in new capital investment for the Springfield region. Conventional wisdom says that if communities focus primarily on creating new jobs, those jobs will attract more people, and as a result the community will become a more desirable place to work and live.
Special thanks to author and community development consultant, Peter Kageyama, for sharing his expertise on community development and how large of an impact an emotionally engaged city can have. Focusing on PLACE will attract and retain more PEOPLE and ultimately capital investment and new JOBS in the Springfield region. Join us in making Springfield a more engaging city.
